Since 2016 I have enjoyed being part of Katherine's growing team of bookkeepers serving local businesses with their financial records. Although I work with numbers, people are my main focus, and I enjoy listening to my clients in order to customize our service to their particular needs. Whether a business is construction, retail, or non-profit, being able to see the true picture of income and expenses is a necessary facet of success. I prepare payroll, monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations, bill paying, annual reports, or a mix of any of these. With my background in the fluctuating economies of retail and real estate, I am familiar with the importance of organization, customer service, and modern technology in assisting North Coast businesses to survive and thrive.

When I started my bookkeeping consulting business in 2012, I really didn’t know where it was going to take me. I just knew that I enjoyed bookkeeping, I was good at it, and a lot of people needed a good bookkeeper. As it happens, more people than I could take care of on my own. So, I found a few other people who like this line of work. We now have a small collective of very competent bookkeepers. We work independently, but we share information, teaching each other new skills, trading information, and supporting each other in whatever way we can. I’m now semi-retired but I continue to do bookkeeping for a small number of clients. I am also available for consultation for new business owners or anyone who needs some help figuring out how best to manage the finances of their growing business, or wants some hands on help with QuickBooks Online.

With my background in business networking from the Arcata Chamber of Commerce, I understand the unique needs of our local small business community. I hold a bachelor's degree in Biology and Botany from Humboldt State University (Cal Poly Humboldt). Outside of work, I enjoy the beauty of the Redwood Coast through surfing, hiking, gardening, and yoga. I enjoy solving your bookkeeping challenges and keeping your finances organized for your success. I am here to support you and your business with all of its bookkeeping and payroll needs.

We do not charge for our bookkeeping service by the hour, and here's why:
We pride ourselves in being as fast, efficient and accurate as possible. This comes from the many years of experience we have with QuickBooks and accounting. You're paying for our service, not our time.
Our service, aside from the actual bookkeeping, includes our expertise, advice and support. We are your accounting ally, and that is the most valuable aspect of what we offer.
